San Luis Valley Business Loan Fund

The San Luis Valley Business Loan Fund provides financing for business expansion, retention, and start-ups. Businesses must be able to provide or retain permanent full time equivalent jobs, filling 60% of the positions with low-moderate income persons.  We are a gap financer and encourage bank participation.  We do not compete with or replace local lending institutions.  We are not a lender of last resort; however, our programs are not usually as restrictive as banks.  Loan proceeds can be used for:

  • Real estate
  • Equipment
  • Inventory
  • Working capital

The SLV Business Loan Fund has been in existence since 1984.  We have assisted 174 businesses during the past 24 years with loans of more than $10,085,321.  Local banks and private investment leveraged these funds to over $36,418, 210 with the creation of at least 879* jobs.
*Includes two jobs per each MEP loan project.
